200 Hour Training starts 28th August 2024

Enrollment is now open for our training starting August 2024. If you choose the live course you join our teachers live in person In Dublin for 2 weeks (Wednesday to Sunday) plus live & self paced online classes.

We are very excited to welcome guest teacher Seanie Smyth to the 200hr training. Seanie completed his 200hr training with us in 2021 and has gone on to complete months of advanced training in Rishikesh, India. He is looking forward to sharing all he has learned & will teach asana & pranayama practice on the course.

Take a journey with us through yoga philosophy, breathwork, postures and relaxation and become a confident and soulful yoga teacher.

In this program you will learn the principles and skills to teach breathing techniques (pranayama), postures (asana), and Yin Yoga & relaxation (Yoga Nidra) to individuals and large and small groups. You will become familiar with the anatomy of the body and how it works in yoga. At its heart, this program will uncover why we do yoga. Underpinning it all will be the study of ancient yoga philosophy to enable both teacher and their students to live more soulfully.

The program is very practical in nature. Students will commit to home study (svadyaya) and home practice. It is designed to take students on a highly enjoyable and life-affirming journey.

Self Paced (complete course in your own time) 200hr also available. If you choose the self paced course you study in your own time whenever it suits you. Please note the self paced courses may include some student interaction.

Surya Wellness School

In the Foundations of Yoga Module we will cover the basics of yoga including meditation, pranayama techniques & a mindful vinyasa flow class. We will practice some posture names in Sanskrit and also have a Yin Yoga practice. All the tools to get you started on this life changing uplifting journey.

Living principles explore the ancient wisdom of yoga philosophy and its total relevance to today’s life for yogis and all mankind. This examines the body systems and in particular looks at the anatomy and physiology inherent in yoga asana and pranayama.

This explores the ancient wisdom of Yoga Philosophy and its total relevance to today’s life for yogis and all mankind.

In this module we will further explore the Philosophy of Yoga and will be introduced to The subtle body which consists of focal points, often called chakras, connected by channels, often called nadis, that convey subtle breath, often called prana. Through breathing and other exercises, a practitioner may direct the subtle breath to achieve supernormal powers or liberation.

This section looks at the different factors influencing movement in asana. These exercises are all dealt with and teased out in great detail. We also explore Workshops in Hormone Yoga, Sensitive Yoga, Inversions, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Mindfulness and Meditation and Sound Bath Healing.

One full day on the course will focus on Sound Bath Healing. A Sound Bath is an immersion in beautiful sounds and vibrations that are healing for your body, mind and spirit.   A Sound Bath is a deeply relaxing, meditative experience which can take you on a journey of deep relaxation, healing and self-discovery. Everything in the Universe, including our body, is composed of vibrations. Every organ and every cell in our body vibrates at a particular frequency. Sound and vibration travels up to five times more effectively through water. As the human body is made up of over 70% water we can understand that sound and vibration can effect us at a cellular level. You will experience the healing power of Tibetan Singing Bowls, Gongs, Shamanic Drums, Koshi chimes and Voice.

Ayurveda is the Science of Healing & will enhance your ability to observe and assist students and/or clients physically, mentally and emotionally. The information in this module will support you in your own life by deepening your understanding of specific dietary and lifestyle needs. Learning the basics in Ayurveda will help you to help others or yourself to achieve a state of mental, emotional and physical balance.

Hormone Yoga is a specially designed and very specific sequence of yoga poses with pranayama and visualisation techniques. The yoga sequence balances your hormones by stimulating the glands responsible for producing them: ovaries, thyroid, pituitary, and adrenal.

Dr. Nuno Lorenzo will teach this module & introduce you to multiple aspects of Health & Nutrition, including the damage caused to  your health by Dairy, and he will explain in depth the right foods & nutrition for an overall healthy body & mind. Nuno has 20 years experience in Alternative medicine, health & nutrition. This section looks at the approaches of teachers on how to teach their classes ethically. The module also includes a Teachers in Training class where each student will teach their first full class to our members once you have successfully completed the course. In completing the entire 200-hour RYT certification, you will receive a certificate of completion, which is recognised by Yoga Alliance & enables you to teach yoga worldwide.

Refund Policy: The deposit is non-refundable unless the course is canceled. If a student decides not to complete the course, the instalment payments for any unattended weekends, made up until that date, are non-refundable. You may use this as credit towards a future course.
