I first took up Yoga while playing professional rugby it was beneficial in recovery and developing and improving flexibility. Retiring from rugby I found yoga a great way to not only keep fit and toned but still develop my flexibility. I particularly found hot yoga exhilarating as it gives me a great workout. I was delighted to find Hot Yoga Studios Dundrum as I am a local and tend to pop in and out when I can. The classes in hot yoga studios are energising as each instructor brings their own twist to the session. There is always a great atmosphere in the class with a mix of people of different age experience and background.
I for one would highly recommend Hot Yoga Studios Dundrum whether you are dipping your toe in or are a Yogi.
Malcolm O′KellyIrish Rugby
Having been chosen to play for Ireland in the Tag World Cup this year I knew a tough road was ahead. The competition is being held in the Sunshine coast in Australia in December so that means it’s going to be hot!
At 32 I knew this was going to be tough for me so I looked into what would work best. Hot Yoga was a natural choice, having completed 6 sessions already I’m seeing the benefits. I’m more flexible and mobile, not to mention the prep in acclimatising to the heat of Australia in their summer has been greatly beneficial.
One major positive for me has also been the environment in which we practise Yoga, it is a very peaceful and tranquil place, and is the perfect venue for just switching off at the end of the day and focusing on you. I look forward to coming back in the New Year and continuing on with some classes.
