200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Creacon Wellness Retreat, Wexford, January 2020

We are really excited to team up with the beautiful serene Creacon Wellness Retreat Centre to bring our teacher training programme to the South! Surrounded by nature, the location offers a peaceful atmosphere enriched with the sounds of nature. Providing the opportunity to undertake your yoga training in a nourishing and relaxed environment.

This training will run once a month from 11th January 2020 for 9 months. On completion of this course you will be a 200hr Yoga Alliance certified teacher and qualified to teach Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga classes worldwide.

Take a journey with us through yoga philosophy, breathwork, postures and relaxation and become a confident, competent and soulful yoga teacher.

On this program you will learn the principles and skills to teach breathing techniques (pranayama), postures (asana) and relaxation (yoga nidra) to individuals and large and small groups. You will become familiar with the anatomy of the body and how it works in yoga. At its heart, this program will uncover why we do yoga. Underpinning it all will be the study of ancient yoga philosophy to enable both teacher and their students to live more soulfully.

The program is very practical in nature. Students will commit to homework and home practice. It is designed to take students on a highly enjoyable and life-affirming journey.

The course will run one weekend a month over 9 months on Saturday and Sunday from 1pm to 8.00pm.

Yoga Teacher Training – Modules

Living principles explore the ancient wisdom of yoga philosophy and its total relevance to today’s life for yogis and all mankind.

The body principles section looks at the different factors influencing movement in asana.

Pranayama, Asana, Yoga Nidra exercises are all dealt with and teased out in great detail. We also explore workshops in inversions, handstands and headstands, restorative yoga, mindfulness and meditation and sound bath healing.

The body in yoga examines the body systems and in particular looks at the anatomy and physiology inherent in yoga asana and pranayama.

The teacher skills and business of yoga sections look at the approaches of teachers on how to teach and run their businesses ethically.

4.00pm – 5.30pm:   Posture Workshop – Asana & Alignment Study

5.30pm – 6.00pm:   Coffee break

6.00pm – 7.00pm:   Yoga Philosophy/Anatomy and Physiology

7.00pm – 8.00pm:   Mindfulness and Meditation/Evening Restorative or Yin Practice
