If you regularly find yourself drawn to the mat to practice, maybe you would like to study this ancient practice a little more in depth and make the most of this time to study something new.

Take a journey with us through yoga philosophy, breathwork, postures and relaxation. On this program you will learn the principles of breathing techniques (Pranayama), postures (Asana) and Yin Yoga & relaxation (Yoga Nidra). We will explore meditation techniques to help you to stay calm, positive & relaxed during this time. We will practice Chanting of Mantras which helps to balance the nervous system & boost immunity. At its heart, this program will uncover why we do yoga. Underpinning it all will be the study of ancient yoga philosophy to enable you to live more soulfully.
The program is very practical in nature. Students will commit to some reading and journaling. The training includes 2 daily live practices on Zoom, Q & A sessions, your yoga manual, classes on demand and more. This course is designed to take students on a highly enjoyable and uplifting journey.
Foundations of Yoga – Modules

Course times: 12.30pm to 6.30pm (There will be a break in the afternoon for self-study, journaling and lunch).

1. Introduction to Yoga Philosophy.
This explores the ancient wisdom of Yoga Philosophy and its total relevance to today’s life for yogis and all mankind.

2. Vinyasa Flow Asana Practice & Teaching Sun Salutations.
This section looks at the different factors influencing movement in asana. You will also learn how to guide your fellow students through Sun Salutations A & B and practice teaching eachother on zoom.

3. Pranayama, Mindfulness and Meditation.
We will explore different Pranayama (breathing) techniques. We also explore Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Mindfulness and Meditation.
